I've never used a pickit before, but I am pretty sure that your character still has to move in range to pick up the items it is automated to pick up. I understand the idea of a bot using it since everything else is automated, but to use it while playing with friends on LAN just seems pointless. What seems like it would make more sense is a maphack/item text changer. Have the stuff that is worth picking up be highlighted in a certain color or have it show up on the minimap. D2bh has this customization.

Unfortunately, there is no non-modded in-game method to transfer gear by yourself from one character to another. There are two separate methods that I know of that can be used.
